Saturday, March 23, 8:30 PM is Earth Hour! Will you join hundreds of millions of people this weekend to mark Earth Hour and promote the preservation of our planet? More than just turning off the lights, Earth Hour has momentum with their new “I Will If You Will” campaign. Create your own challenge on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter for positive action for the environment, or accept someone else’s challenge.
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and the movement has grown worldwide with cities, governments, and businesses joining in the event.
In prep for Saturday, check out these books on green/socially responsible/sustainable businesses in the library… light a candle, turn off the lights and squint your way through…
